As you may already know this Saturday is the 2nd annual Bob Cipriano Cross Country meet for elementary and middle school students.
This year the meet is being held at Ford Field located at the corner of Brady and Cherry Hill. Parking is available near the baseball diamonds just west of Brady Street.
The first event will start at 8:30 a.m. with a one-mile race for staff members. An hour later hundreds of fourth through eighth grade students will hit the course in a series of one and two mile races.
All are invited to attend and cheer on the students.
If you are interested in helping out at the event just show up at Ford Field around 8 or 8:30 and you will be given an assignment. Volunteers would be involved with helping to keep an eye on runners during the race, directing runners to the race area, and basically keeping an eye on students between races.
